Will Blair, Fat Face Marketing Manager, comments: "It's testament to how popular the event has become with how fast the tickets were snapped up prior to the event. It's the fastest we've ever known so it'll be our job, along with the UKPSA and Lusty Glaze, to give everyone the best event yet and make this a year to remember!

"We're still encouraging people to come down to Lusty and take part in all the activity and events on Friday, during the day on Saturday and on Sunday as there's absolutely masses to do on the beach and the opportunity to see the best surfers battling it out.

The surf conditions for the weekend look good; "In fact possibly the best the event has seen for years with a predicted 4 to 6 feet with a cross to offshore wind," explained Dave Reed, Contest Director of the UKPSA. Continuing Dave added: "the scene is set for a spectacular event with some of the best surfing talent expected and a large international representation from countries including Australia, Brazil, South Africa and Holland."

Some of this talent expected at the event includes:

- Sam Lamiroy (Newcastle) 07 Tour winner
- Alan Stokes (Newquay) two times winner
- Mark Harris (Newquay) Tour leader 08
