Laying the Ghost Premiers at Lane Theatre

The play 'Laying the Ghost' by Simon Williams and directed by Pam Heywood, premiers at Lane Theatre in Newquay on Tuesday May 20th. The play is a very amusing insight into the lives of 'old' actresses living in a retirement home.
It hilariously reveals how easily they can still become 'drama queens', especially when faced with an ex-husband, the current wife and a mistress to boot.
The continual presence of a 'zany psychic old actress' adds much to the humour. When all these characters get together on stage plus the appearance of 'The Husband' - (in hiding from the 'paparazzi') - things really hot up. When said husband dies in front of them all and re-appears as his ghost (but only to the psychic lady), the laughs come thick and fast. All this is overseen patiently by the owner of the home who deals very cleverly with a 'Superman kiss o gram', hired for a reluctant Birthday girl.
Sounds like fun? Then please come along and see for yourselves because there is still a 'coup de grace' which we will not reveal.'
