The gates will be open for visitors until 5pm when Newquay Zoo will have the big lights 'turn on' and people can then enjoy a relaxing walk around the zoo to see the displays with the zoo closing at 7pm. Lorraine Reid Event Organiser said "It is a great way to start Christmas for all the family. Santa will also be in attendance between 12pm and 4pm. So why not come down and join in the big countdown." Normal entry prices apply.

Enjoy the Magical Atmosphere
You will be able to enjoy the magical atmosphere of the sub-tropical lakeside gardens bathed in Christmas Lights. See animals shapes reflecting in the lakes, a floodlit Otter enclosure and a Dragon in lights in the Oriental Garden.
Trees sparkle with tiny white lights along the pathways, Christmas trees smothered with decorations, icicle lights draping from roof tops, Santa Claus and his many reindeer in lights plus much much more in this magical wonderland. The lights are turned on every day between the 3rd December and the 7th January at around 2:30pm just as day light starts to dim. By 4 o'clock the lights really start to twinkle and create a beautiful sight as you walk around the zoo.
