Blaze Church is made up of ordinary people who have discovered it is possible to have a life–changing relationship with God. Blaze meets every Sunday at the Hotel Victoria ballroom overlooking Great Western Beach. When asked why a church should meet in a hotel, Jeremy Bunce, the leader of Blaze Church says, "Why not? A church is not a building. It's people. A church can meet anywhere. The Hotel Victoria, right in the heart of the town, is an ideal place to meet."
From 10.45am to around 12.30, the meeting starts and ends cafe style. Anyone is welcome – just come along at 10.45am for coffee. Bring the children. They will love "Blazers" – the special children's zone held in one of the hotel function rooms. There is also a specially adapted "creche" area for the pre–schoolers. Visitors are always welcome. The church also meets midweek in homes around Newquay.
Blaze Church is part of the Newfrontiers family of Churches. Newfrontiers is a worldwide family of churches together on a mission. Currently there are nearly 600 churches in over 40 nations worldwide, all with a passionate commitment to build strong local churches according to New Testament principles.

It's supported by all the main Christian denominations, and a staggering figure of over 2 million people in the UK alone have completed the course, as well as 13 million worldwide. People are encouraged to come along to one session as a Taster. If they like it, they can continue with the rest of the course. If they decide it's not for them, no one is going to hassle them.
The Alpha course looks at such subjects as:
