2007 heralds the landmark 40th anniversary of the filming and broadcast of Magical Mystery Tour. To mark this occasion the 'Mystery Tour Revival' there will be a special event in Newquay, to be held on Sat 6th October 2007.
'Not the Beatles' at the Killacourt
Dress to Impress for the Big Four – 0 Party
The Mystery Tour Revival, 40th Anniversary event was launched featuring 'Not The Beatles' dressed in Sgt Pepper gear on June 1st at the Mystery Tour plaque at the Killacourt in Newquay. The event will be strictly tickets only, and they will be on sale at the following places from Monday June 25th 2007: The Atlantic Hotel Dane Road, Newquay 01637 872244; Newquay Tourist Information Centre, Marcus Hill, 01637 854020 and Quarterdeck Music, East Street, Newquay 01637 851441.
There are information leaflets available at all 3 points, the event includes a 5 course meal, live music with our fabulous tribute band 'Not The Beatles' and the original hits from the swinging sixties with DJ/Compere Steve Star. Ticket are £25 each inc. There will be up to 400 tickets going on sale, and we hope to sell as many of those as possible, if not all of them, because apart from enjoying 'THE BIG FOUR–0 PARTY' we hope to make a sizeable donation to charity afterwards, namely the NSPCC.
'There have already been many enquiries about the tickets, since the launch, and we look towards making this a major event, to re–live the golden days of love and peace. People are already gearing up with ideas of groovy and flamboyant fashions, costumes, and of course the hair styles to suit! There is also relevance in the date of the ticket sales, with June 25th 1967 being the date that The Beatles first sang the 1967 anthem All You Need is Love during the worlds' first live satellite link up on BBC Television.'
