There are many National Trust properties in the area, with Trerice being the nearest. The Camel Trail at Wadebride is also nearby where you can hire bicycles and cycle along the flat six mile route to Padstow, enjoying beautiful views of the estuary.
Surfing is really good on the Atlantic (North) Coast. Fistral beach is a fine beach and well known for surfing, as is Watergate Bay.
